A Good Finds host with his dog beside his vehicle in the New Zealand high country

Share what
you know best.

Good Finds connects curious guests with people who really know New Zealand. A skill, a place, a way of life. If it's genuine, there's a guest looking for it.

Our hosts are

Real people with something genuinely worth sharing

Farmers and growers

People rooted in the land. Sheep stations, market gardens, orchards, vineyards. Guests who want to understand where food comes from find them here.

Makers and craftspeople

Potters, blacksmiths, weavers, woodworkers. The kind of people who've spent years perfecting something with their hands and are ready to share it.

Chefs, foragers and producers

Those who know what to grow, what to gather, and how to cook it. Who understand flavour as a place, not just an ingredient.

Guides and naturalists

They know the birds, the plants, the tides. The stories the landscape holds. They take small groups, move slowly, and don't miss much.

Artists and cultural hosts

Storytellers, musicians, iwi members, historians. Experiences that feel less like tourism and more like being invited in.

Specialists of all kinds

A fly-fishing guide. A fourth-generation cheesemaker. A former deep-sea fisherman turned cook. If they know something well and love to share it, they belong here.

How it works

From idea to first booking

01

Tell us your idea

Just describe the experience you'd like to offer in a sentence or two. Takes about a minute. We'll dig into the details together if it sounds promising.

02

We review your application

A real person on the Good Finds team reads every application. We may reach out with a few questions.

03

We'll let you know

You'll hear back within 3–5 working days, either way. No ghosting.

04

Create your listing

If you're accepted, you'll build your listing inside your provider dashboard, with our help at every step.

05

Welcome your first guests

Guests discover your experience, make a request, and you confirm. Payments are handled through the platform.

Not sure how to shape your idea into an experience?

Have something special to offer but not quite sure how to turn it into something guests can book? We can help with that. Whether it's thinking through how your experience would run, what you'd charge, how many people you'd take, or what guests would actually do. You don't need a polished plan before you apply.

Once you're accepted, we'll work with you to shape the offer and build a listing that does your experience justice. Our host guides also cover the practical side: NZ business setup, tax basics, pricing, and more.

What we look for

The qualities that make a strong experience

Good Finds is a curated platform. We accept a small number of new hosts each month. Here's what we care about most.

Something genuinely local

You know your corner of New Zealand well: its land, its people, its history. That knowledge is the experience.

A personal touch

Guests spend time with you, not a guide following a script. Your character and story are part of what they're booking.

Small, considered groups

The best experiences on Good Finds take 2–10 guests. Intimacy matters. We're not looking for tour operations.

A commitment to safety

You've thought through how to keep guests safe, and you hold, or are working toward, appropriate insurance.

Honesty about what you offer

You don't need to be polished or professional. You do need to be real, and to deliver what you promise.

This is a curated platform. If your application isn't selected right now, it's not a reflection of you as a person. It may simply be timing, category fit, or something we'd like to see develop further. You're welcome to apply again.

Express your interest

Tell us your idea

This isn't the full application. It's a quick expression of interest. We'll be in touch within 3–5 working days.
